Depending on the type of material to be processed, we use equipment using acetylene, propane or natural gas, among others. It is worth emphasising that oxygen cutting is optimum in terms of cost-effectiveness, above all in relation to soft steel of low thickness. Oxygen steel cutting
What is cutting steel with oxygen? This process does not involve cutting, in the literal sense of the word, but the oxidation of the metal. A
stream of pure oxygen is used for this, combined with a heat source, which is usually a gas torch. An essential element of thermal oxygen cutting is the adequate heating of the material to its ignition temperature, allowing precise separation of the steel.
A key role in this process is played by oxygen, whose function is, among other things, to expel
the oxides formed from the cutting gap. For the aforementioned pre-heating of the material prior to cutting, we use a variety of gases that are matched to the type of steel being processed. Propane is usually used for thicker sheets, while acetylene is suitable for thin material. We also use propylene and natural gas.
Oxygen lance cutting
Oxygen lance cutting also requires optimum setting of the gas pressure, which is adapted, among other things, to the type of material to be cut. We also carry out oxygen lance drilling, i.e. the boring of holes in steel components. All work is carried out using the highest quality equipment, guaranteeing efficiency, safety and effectiveness.
